I see children as young as 4 years old, adolescents, and adults.
I am a Registered Play Therapist, specially trained to provide play therapy services to young children. I provide both individual and family therapy services to older children, adolescents and adults. I provide specialized services to children, adolescents, and adults navigating litigation in the family courts system.
Both in-person and telehealth sessions are available, including online video or phone sessions.
In-person sessions are held at the Andrea Schultz Counseling office in Plano, TX. Telehealth online video sessions are offered via Simple Practice, a HIPAA compliant platform, and are accessed through the Andrea Schultz Counseling portal online.
If you are physically located in the state of Texas at the time of the session I can see you. In-person sessions are held in my Plano, TX office or you can schedule an online video session.
Flexible scheduling is available including after-school, evening and Saturday appointments. Current office hours are Monday thru Wednesday 11am to 7pm, Fridays 10am to 5pm, and Saturdays 9am to 3pm. The office is closed on Thursdays and Sundays.

Prospective clients wanting a free initial 15 minute phone call or new clients scheduling their first appointment will be directed to complete any necessary forms. A fee of $150 will be charged for each 50 minute therapy session. Payment in full is due at the time of service.
Credit, debit, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are accepted.
Andrea Schultz Counseling is a private pay provider and does not accept insurance. Payment in full is due at the time of service.
Andrea Schultz Counseling may be considered an out-of-network provider with your insurance company. If your insurance company has out-of-network benefits we can provide you with a Superbill upon request. You will be responsible for filing the Superbill directly with your insurance company for any potential reimbursement. Andrea Schultz Counseling makes no guarantee that services will be covered or reimbursed by your insurance.
Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid the no show/late cancellation fee which is the full cost of the session.
I understand that illness can happen unexpectedly and within reason I will work with you to waive the late cancellation fee in situations of genuine illness. Please do not come to the office if you or a child client you are transporting is ill. Please do not come to the office if you or a child client you are transporting has not been fever free for at least 24 hours without the assistance of fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol.
If you do not pay any outstanding balance within 30 days, all remaining appointments you have scheduled will be cancelled until payment is made in full.
You may request a copy of your records by mailing or emailing a written request to Andrea Schultz, LPC-S, RPT-S. I have 14 days to respond to your request. Records will be provided in accordance with Texas law and privacy practices. The charge for releasing records ranges from $30 to $55 depending on the size of the file.

NOTICE TO CLIENTS
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct
committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological
associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology.
Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.
